The walking tour does not go into the personal residences of these haunted houses, however the tour does end at a haunted pub that allows patrons to enter.
The Haunted Haight Walking Tour cannot guarantee that you will experience any ghosts on this tour. However, there have been occasions where a ghost has made itself known to tour members.
Some people can find the stories frightening and macabre. This is not a “spook house” attraction where people are hidden throughout the walk to jump out and scare you.
The tour is approximately 2 hours.
Your tour guide has had a passion for the paranormal his whole life! He is the founder of the San Francisco Ghost Society, a paranormal group that investigates claims of the supernatural in San Francisco. He has been featured in several newspaper pieces and has appeared on The History Channel and Travel Channel. He has lectured on ghosts and the paranormal at serveral events. He also has hosted many conferences in various locations in the bay area.
The ghost stories you hear on the tour are well known legends of ghosts in the area as well as researched phenomena. Your tour guide worked closely with resouces from the San Francisco Public Library’s History Center, City Hall and the Police Department to create the tour. Residents also came forward with stories of their places being haunted and your guide has investigated the history behind the many stops on the tour.
Yes. Your tour guide is licensed with The City of San Francisco.
The tour does allow children, but it is not recommended for children under 13 years of age. However, we leave this up to the parent(s) to decide if they wish to bring children under 13 years old. No children discounts are available.
The tour includes a chance to win fun and spooky prizes so we must make sure we have enough prizes based on the group.
The Haunted Haight Walking Tour does not accept personal checks. The preferred method of payment is credit or debit card through our ticket supplier at TicketSpice.com .
There are NO HILLS on this tour. Yes, I repeat there are no upward hills on this tour! :)
The tour does have wheelchair ramps on all corners of the walk.
Well-behaved pets are encouraged on the tour since there is a stop in two public parks. San Francisco law requires all pets to be leashed.

The tour is accessible by public transportation. Please go to www.nextmuni.com for transit information. Take Muni # 7 or #6 on Market Street to Masonic Avenue.
Street parking is available if you can be patient. The Haight-Ashbury does not have ample parking. However, with a little patience you can find a spot. Make sure you allow plenty of time for parking. If you would like to park in a PUBLIC PAID PARKING LOT…there is one available on Stanyan Street between Waller and Frederick.
Still pictures are allowed but NO VIDEO TAPING PLEASE. We do ask that you respect the resident’s who courageously gave the tour their ghost stories.
Yes. We recommend bringing a jacket. The Haight-Ashbury is part of what is called the "fog belt" and evenings are usually pretty chilly.
Group rates can be purchased for 10 or more people. You will be offered the discount when you select tickets. The discount is $2.00 off per person. Please note: There are NO DISCOUNT GROUP RATES OVER THE HALLOWEEN MONTH OF OCTOBER. Private Groups are NEVER discounted and only available Sunday thru Thursday and must be paid in advance.
